We are recruiting for a Mortuary Assistant who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and highly motivated Administrative Assistant to join our Mortuary Team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience assisting the Mortuary Technicians and Medical Examiner Officers in order to provide an efficient and dignified service for our patients and bereaved loved ones.

This role will be supporting the Mortuary and Bereavement Service for the needs of the East and North Herts NHS Trust, HM Coroner and the Community.
Oversee the admission and discharge of the deceased to and from the mortuary.
Keep and maintain accurate computer and document records of the deceased’s details including name and address, valuables, clothing and property found on or with the deceased. Maintain records and manage cheques from funeral companies.
Utilise Information Technology skills for database entry and to access Mortbase, Lorenzo and Q Pulse Systems when required. Training will be provided for the use of these systems.
Support the Bereavement team by liaising with ward staff and doctors to facilitate the prompt completion of cremation forms. Present the deceased to doctors for the purpose of identification in accordance with the Cremation Regulations 2008 (England and Wales).
