Job Description
About the role:
The successful candidate for this role will ensure the smooth running of the returns function within the business. They will be responsible for coordinating between different areas of the business such as buying, finance and operational teams to ensure that returns to publishers are completed in good time and to the best commercial outcome for the business.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To ensure returns are processed in a timely manner and within supplier deadlines
- Coordinate paperwork relating to book purchase returns
- Deal with subsequent queries
- Create returns note and debit notes
- Process supplier credit notes on the ledger
- Monitor and chase outstanding credit notes
- Any other duties commensurate with the post as necessary to ensure the efficient running of the department.
The successful candidate will support the operational areas of the business on an 'as needed' basis by undertaking work in the functions outlined below:
- Goods inwards
- Order checking
- Stationery Production
- Servicing
- Invoicing
- Dispatch
- Bookshop
