Introduction:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Material Coordinator to join our growing operation, acting as the immediate point of contact for all material requirements at our Boeing London Gatwick MRO facility. You’ll be responsible for coordinating the material requirements for all statements of work, which range from short to long-term inputs

The Role:
The role of the Material Coordinator is to manage the Supply Chain flow of material requirements for all statements of work planned to the facility.
The inputs range from long term heavy maintenance inputs, to short term inputs, AOG/Emergent requirements will also be a part of your working day.
As a coordinator you will be part of the Operational Support team and will interface with internal customers such as production and the stores team but also with external customers such as the wider supply chain and key suppliers.
You will represent the materials team at key customer meetings to provide detailed updates, supporting the production team to execute on our customer delivery promise.
With our continued growth, this role will play a key part in the development and implementation of new procedures as well as project work in support of our continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Focal for all material requirements at the facility.
Utilisation of maintenance and stock management system AMOS.
Keep accurate information of orders, purchases and tracking information.
Able to interpret key data and make data driven decisions on activities such as forecasting.
Be able to work to process, with attention to detail and provide accurate and timely updates to key stakeholders.
Ability to source parts both for long term inputs as well as AOG demands.
Able to function in an at times highly pressurized environment
Work Authorisation:

Skills/Capability
Ability to work under pressure and deal with complex situations.
Experience of working in a supply chain or material coordination role.
Effective verbal & written communication skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret spreadsheets and performance data.
Strong reporting skills.
Must have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Qualifications/Experience
GCSE A*-C (or equivalent) Maths and English (desirable).
Candidate should be knowledgeable of industry and regulatory agency requirements as applicable to the control and management of materials.
Previous experience of using the AMOS system is highly desirable.
CIPS and or Leadership qualifications (desirable).
Able to obtain an Airside Pass and Airside driving permit.
Engineering business awareness in relation to supply chain flow of materials to production.
Sound understanding of the overall engineering operation and interdependencies of departments within.
Experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and access).
Experience using Smartsheet (Desirable)
