Job Description
Are you looking for your next challenge within a dynamic organisation, helping our customers to support their communities? We are looking for you, a passionate Software Developer.
The applicant will need to be an expert in Microsoft development technologies and demonstrate strong application programming knowledge and skills.
To meet national security vetting requirements, you will need to have been resident in the UK for at least 5 years, prior to application.
Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable multi-tier solutions that will operate 24x7 and are hosted by ourselves or others.
- Produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked in regularly for continuous integration.
- Have a strong understanding of system design and architecture and lead the technical solution delivery, in line with the product development and client project requirements.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and multi-tasking abilities.
- Be committed to technical quality and implement TDD, where possible.
- Demonstrate the ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
- Be a good communicator, with an ability to work openly and honestly with others.
- Contribute to a technical wiki to reduce team maintenance effort.
- Be self-motivated, capable of independent work and not afraid to ask for help.
- Build solutions to accessibility compliance WCAG 2.1.
- Collaborate positively with cross-domain teams
Qualifications
Commercial software development experience and development background with object-oriented design, coding and testing using C# and .NET Core.
- Show full application lifecycle development experience using Microsoft products.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of MSSQL and general RDBMS administration
- Show a good understanding of the architecture of thin client applications.
- Experience with relational databases, database architecture, and distributed transaction management.
- Knowledge of Agile methods, such as Scrum and/or Kanban using JIRA or Azure DevOps.
You should have:
- Experience/knowledge relating to the security requirements around the deployment of ASP.NET applications on them.
- Experience/knowledge relating to Javascript, AJAX, HTML, DHTML.
- Experience/knowledge relating to mobile development and/or customer facing websites
