The successful applicant must possess the below skills and experience:
Loading and unloading of material either into a store or across the site. This will involve the manual handling of heavy and/or awkward objects.
Maintain company vehicles, and material handling equipment in safe and good working condition.
Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor promptly, complying with company policies, procedures, and instructions at all times.
Operate and maintain relevant machinery.
Package materials and products by specified standards.
Drive company vehicles to transfer goods/materials.
Maintain the work area, clean, safe, and organized.
Assist in the waste disposal and recycling activities.
Assist with the production control process.
Assist with product quality control process.
Control goods inwards and outwards.
Load and unload goods/materials to and from trailers.
Perform routine facility inspections including electrical and mechanical maintenance.
Contribute to improving the business, protecting and enhancing the reputation of the company, by putting forward new ideas and, when requested to do so, implementing change.
Comply with the company’s policies and procedures as set out within the Employee Handbook, Accreditation Manual (including Best Practice Quality Guide), and the Health and Safety Manual, as updated from time to time.
Comply with the requirements for the role as set out within the company’s
Integrated Management System (currently comprising the Quality
Management System, Environmental Management System and the Health and Safety Management System), as updated from time to time.
Comply with the requirements of any Core Duties or other relevant procedural or policy documents applicable to your role.
The post holder must also undertake other duties within his/her competence or otherwise appropriate to the grading of the post as required.
