This is a Full-Time Exempt position reporting to the Executive Director
Overview
Oversee and implement all TCS fundraising activities and manage relations with all funding partners, including planning fundraising events, donor cultivation and relationship building, and seeking opportunities for financial support through grants and sponsorship for TCS daily operation and capital campaign projects.
Job Objective/Purpose
Raise charitable donations, including grants and sponsorship funds, to sustain TCS’s financial goals to sustain our mission, through assessing and forecasting current and future TCS fundraising needs; cultivating and maintaining donor relationships; and identifying, applying for, and subsequent reporting for grants and sponsorships.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Cooperation with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director, and TCS staff;
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to generate philanthropic support.
- Establish fundraising objectives for the organization, setting both short and long term goals.
- Assess and forecast fundraising needs based on current and projected income and expense cycles.
- Identify and cultivate community relations that promote financial giving.
- Maintains a list of potential financial donors including corporations, foundations, and individuals.
- Produces relevant and informative fundraising literature for distribution to previous donors and the public.
- Researches potential sources of, actively pursues and manages viable grants and public funding.
- Oversees the fundraising process and maintains records of receipts and disbursements of funds.
- Plans fundraising events that effectively communicate the purposes of the organization.
- Managing the implementation of development software.
- Provides ED and BOD regular fundraising updates.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in business, non-profit management, or related field.
Experience
- 4+ years of fundraising and business development experience in non-profit organizations, ideally education based.
Skills and Competencies
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient with sponsor solicitation.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Google Suite.
- Knowledge of and experience using CRM systems.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and proficiency in using them for fundraising needs.
- Understanding and implementation of fundraising best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements
Employees must be able to perform the following physical movement functions as needed:
Regularly
- SITTING - Resting position in which the body weight is supported primarily by the buttocks in contact with the ground or a horizontal object such as a chair seat.

- PUSHING - Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
- PULLING - Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
Important: Because a Creekside School student may exhibit behaviors such as aggression (e.g. biting, kicking, hitting, grabbing) creating a potential safety risk for staff, administrative staff are required to participate in modified Safety-Care by QBS to handle potentially dangerous situations. This training will be provided by a certified TCS Safety-Care trainer on-site as part of the onboarding process.

Employment at The Creekside School is based on mutual consent, and both the employee and The Creekside School have the right to terminate employment “at-will”, with or without cause or advance notice.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
