We are looking for a Contract Specialist to join Apptio Legal’s commercial transactions team as a key contributor to our fast-paced business. This person will play an important role in our efforts to accelerate growth, protect the company, and build and maintain process systems that scale.
This new member of the team will take on and support a steady flow of day-to-day contracts, as well as a variety of critical and time-sensitive projects. The successful candidate must have a strong client-service ethic, demonstrate “can-do” resourcefulness, like being challenged, and have the ability to work independently but collaboratively as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Support the commercial transactions team within the Legal department to review, revise, and close new and existing customer revenue generating agreements, as well as vendor and partner agreements

Support various internal clients with a variety of commercial agreements, with primary emphasis on reviewing, drafting, and revising non-disclosure agreements, statements of work, and change requests

Provide administration for a contract management system, as well as contract information sharing across the organization

Administer and help maintain a contract management system, including managing the contract process (both within the contract management application and offline), reporting on key terms, refresh cycles on form documentation, and related data input

Conduct various additional other legal and ad-hoc projects as required
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in a high volume transaction-based role that required drafting, attention to detail, and strong communication skills

Experience in a customer/client-facing capacity

A flexible and service-oriented mentality focused on results

Bachelor’s degree

In-House Experience, preferably in software / SaaS
Preferred Qualifications:

Additional languages (beneficial);
- Experience with contract management systems

Experience withsalesforce.com or similar system.
