Job Description

My name is Joanna Burton, Quality Lead for Primary and Community Mental Health (PCMH) which is an exciting and innovative partnership between SHSC NHS Foundation Trust, Primary Care Sheffield & Mind.

Applying for this brand new post, working across PCMH and with our partners to support the delivery of our place based community mental health service, offering the right intervention at the right time and in the right place.? We work in partnership with GP, VCSE & Expert be Experience partners to deliver a service that provides assessment & treatment for people experiencing serious mental health needs. We are looking for a compassionate, kind and values-based person with a strong commitment to improvement & who is committed to genuine co-production, in order to help us to continue to deliver safe and effective care that is responsive to people’s feedback.

You would be joining a creative and supportive multi-disciplinary team working closely with Rethink and VCSE partners to ensure that what we deliver is what is needed & valued by the people who access our services. Offering support & supervision, opportunities for professional development & the space to lead the design & creation of this brand new post.

You will be a key member of our leadership team and essential to delivering a high-quality and responsive service that meets the needs of the communities we work within.

You will work closely with the Quality Lead and in partnership with Rethink and the Expert by Experience Service Improvement Forum, in order to identify and monitor our priorities for service improvement and design.

In addition, you will play a key role in identifying educational requirements and assisting with the delivering of these programmes.

Together with the Quality Lead, you will lead and support the delivery of an effective, high quality patient experience and involvement programme across PCMHS in line with the NHS Long Term Plan and the Sheffield Transformation Programme, in order to deliver excellent experience for people who use our services. This includes acting an expert for queries and information on all matters relating to patient experience and involvement. This will require working in partnership to design, coordinate, deliver and participate in internal and external meetings, conferences and workshops.

You will be offered supervision, support and training to meet the objectives of the role and to enable your personal and professional development.

This is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities and in discussion with the manager the postholder may be required to undertake other duties which fall within the Banding of the post. The job description will be reviewed regularly in the light of changing service requirements and any such changes will be discussed with the post holder.

The post holder should be comfortable in the use of computer technology, have basic keyboard skills and have the ability to use email.
