Our opportunity for you

We have a job vacancy for Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (non-teaching post).

Reporting directly to the Designated Safeguarding Lead, this is a full time, non-teaching role. The key role of the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) is to deputise for the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Senior Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (SDDSL) in taking responsibility for safeguarding across the College. The roll will be lined managed by the Senior Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

The DDSL is expected to, under the direction of the DSL/ SDDSL, or in their absence:

Record Keeping and Child Protection File

Availability

During term time, DDSL should be available during their working hours and if asked to act in place of the DSL/ SDDSL. If agreed in advance and approved by the DSL, the Senior DDSL can be available remotely in exceptional circumstances. The DDSL will be expected to provide adequate cover arrangements for the out of hours and out of term time safeguarding cover.

All staff have a responsibility to ensure that the College’s Safeguarding Policy is adhered to and concerns are raised in accordance with the policy.

Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities relevant to the post as directed by the Chief Executive Officer, Principal, Vice Principals, or Assistant Principals.
