We are looking to recruit invigilators to ensure the fair and proper conduct of examinations in a secure and appropriate environment, in accordance with the University’s General Examination and Assessment Regulations. (Previous applicants need not apply)
There are three formal examination periods, January/February, May/June and August/September, with the possibility of other ad hoc dates during the year. Hours are flexible within these periods, and can be morning, afternoon or full day. The work will be on a casual basis to fit with the university’s needs and your availability. Examinations will be held at Moulsecoomb, Falmer and Eastbourne campuses.
Duties include: supervising students sitting examinations, remaining vigilant throughout, assisting with setting up the exam room with stationery and examination papers, recording attendance and carrying out identity checks, escorting students who need to leave the room during the exam and collecting and collating completed scripts at the end of the examination.
Some administrative paperwork will also be involved.
