The Courtauld

Job Description

The Courtauld works to advance how we see and understand the visual arts, as an internationally-renowned centre for the teaching, research of art history and a major public gallery. Founded in 1932, the organisation has been at the forefront of the study of art ever since.

The Courtauld cares for one of the greatest art collections in the UK, displayed at The Courtauld Gallery in Somerset House, central London. Academically, The Courtauld is a specialist university and home to the largest community of art historians and conservators in the UK. It offers a range of degree programmes in the History of Art, curating and the conservation of easel and wall paintings.

This is an exciting time to join The Courtauld, which re-opened its newly refurbished Gallery and internationally renowned collection to the public, in November 2021, to critical acclaim.

The Fundraising Data Officer has responsibility for day-to-day processes within the Development Operations team. You will play a vital role in the team and will be responsible for importing, exporting and analysing data from Raiser’s Edge NXT. You will also be responsible for the accurate and prompt processing of gifts and other financial data. Moreover, you will deliver existing regular reports and will lead on key data projects within the Development Office, translating data into clear outputs for internal and external stakeholders.

The prospective post-holder is required to be a creative problem solver, who is experienced with relational databases and gift and/or financial administration. You are required to cooperate with colleagues in the Development Operations team and across the Development Office to deliver under pressure, whilst managing your own workload.

This is an incredibly important and rewarding role, which should lead to giving the prospective candidate the opportunity to improve their skills and experience for continued career development.

We look forward to you joining us in The Courtauld Development Office.
