We are looking for Support Workers/ Care assistants to support people with a Learning Disabilities in our modern, purpose built day service facility in Queensferry Flintshire.
Your day will be busy – very busy and filled with fun and laughter with an opportunity to facilitate a variety of activities. You will support people to achieve their goals and to achieve their hobbies and interests. The people you support will have a variety of support requirements, you will support people with most aspects of their day to day life which may involve support with eating and drinking and a high level of personal care will be required.
You will go home knowing that you have supported people to have a great day!!
Working hours- Part time 22.2 – full time 37 hours per week including Job Share options. Our shift times are between 8.30am to 4.30pm, usually Monday to Friday, occasional weekends/evening to support service need maybe required.
We do not currently provide Employment Sponsorships.
Due to growth we have an exciting opportunity to join our team providing 1-1 support for people we support. We have a number of people who require 1-1 support to engage and take part in the day service activities across the area. These include: Hwb Cyfle- a therapeutic service in Queensferry, where people partake in activities such as baking, arts & crafts, sports & games and music groups.

What will you be doing?
The purpose of your role is to give the highest possible standards of support to individuals with moderate to severe learning disabilities
As a support worker, your responsibilities are varied and no two days are the same. As well as providing physical and emotional support you may be needed to help with engaging the person with day service activities and personal care as well as supporting people with healthcare needs, e.g. taking medication.
Everything you do will enable people to have choices about their own lives, providing flexible services that meet people’s needs, and always looking for the best way of doing things.
