Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 16:00 / Friday 07:00 – 15:30
Salary: £12.50 - £14.50 per hour DOE

Would you like a role working for an advanced engineering company specialising in manufacturing carbon fibre and composite components. You can play your part in working for a range of leading-edge technology customers, currently including projects for some of the most advanced supercars and hyper cars in the world. This position, at Polar Manufacturing Ltd (a subsidiary within Group Polar Ltd) would be as part of our dynamic team, working in our modern, purpose-built facility on the outskirts of Norwich.
As part of the company’s growth strategy, we are looking for a Paint Sprayer responsible for the coating of various composite components in our paint/coating shop. This would involve using recognised paint mixing and application techniques under the direction of your departmental supervisor, to meet the high quality levels defined by our customers, and our ISO and Automotive tier-1 accepted, IATF, quality systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing parts for coating including filling and smoothing of part surfaces
- Mixing coating liquids accurately as defined by technical specifications
- Spraying composite parts to high visual acceptance standards
- Polishing and finishing various coated and uncoated components
- Ensure parts meet the required customer quality standards
- Work within Health and Safety guidelines at all times
- Use and maintain all supplied personal protective equipment in good condition
- Maintain all company tools and equipment in a safe and clean workable condition
- Working to achieve production and quality targets set for the department
Skills and experience required:
- Experience of paint spraying applications including water and solvent based primers, base coats and clear coats.
- Previous experience of composites and automotive environments preferred
- A strong attention to detail with regards to high quality paint preparation and the application of approved paint products according to manufacturer’s specifications
- NVQ, City & Guilds or similar qualification in paint is preferred.
- An organised, systematic and resilient approach to work
